Fabric Casting pt. Two

As the fabric casting process progressed, a shift in mould form occurred, accompanied by refined resolution during development. By exploring various quadrilateral shapes, the motion captured in the process reveals a tension between the fluidity of the walls and the rigidity of the seam lines, permanently framed in a static form.

A reduction-fired finish imparts a subtle blue hue to the vessels, while a clear glaze adds depth to their interiors. During firing, the glaze pools and creates shadows that are visible not only on the exterior but also within the object itself.
